Profile
Stephen commenced living and working in Wanganui in 1984. He was appointed a senior Crown Counsel in 1992. He has prosecuted approximately 280 jury trials, including sexual violation and murder, in both the District and High Courts in Wanganui, Palmerston North, New Plymouth and Wellington.
In 2008 Stephen joined the Defence Bar, and is now available to assist those persons facing criminal charges.
Stephen has a particular expertise in relationship property law and has successfully conducted many cases in the Family Court, as well as appearing for clients in the High Court and Court of Appeal.
He also has considerable experience in all issues relating to custody and access arrangements.
Stephen is on the Lawyer for Child panel and is regularly appointed by the Family Court to represent children in difficult custody and access cases. Stephen is also a Youth Advocate, and is appointed by the Youth Court to represent young persons appearing before the Youth Court. |
